Vol 3:  For several years in a row, I coordinated with the GK to cover the Sun Bowl jumps (a nationally televised Holiday event).  I assigned ASG photogs to the jump plane, ICE Black Hawk helo and to key areas of the football field itself.    Having cleared DHS and Sun Bowl security, ASG photogs covered the US flag and "game ball" jumps from the GK plane to the 50 yd line LZ,  and then the "coin toss" to start the game.  Later, I was within 10 ft of Rhianna for the national anthem, and other celebs and VIP's for the half-time performance and more.   Our coverage required an understanding of commercial network protocols, precise timing and  logistics.  If we' weren't on point, the opp would have been lost.  But not a problem for ASG.   We're used to coverage fighter jets at 700mph within 200 ft.
