USAFA Wings of Blue

Vol 4  features the USAFA (United States Air Force Academy) skydiving demo team known as the Wings of Blue.  As such, the Wings of Blue jumpers are cadets.  Students who participate for two years, before rotating members.  Like all other military demo teams, the Wings of Blue perform at airshows, ceremonies, sports and recruitment events.  The primary difference is the gents and ladies have not seen combat or service in theater  yet.  Cadets may also join USAFA's Glider program.  I'm not sure if that's still mandatory, in that it is how cadets learn the basics of flight. I do know that during the school year, you can see both teams practicing just west of I-25, and on the East side of the Academy.  Cadets graduate as junior officers and go on to serve in the USAF.
