Red Devils, Red Bull and Other Demo Teams

Vol 7  is the last of my Jumpers Gallery.   It includes the British "Red Devils" and the Red Bull jump teams.  These teams are a bit more elusive, but definitely a part of the airshow circuit.  I didn't see them that often.  Regrettably, I didn't see the USN Leap Frogs at all.  However, I wish to acknowledge these dedicated jumpers for their contribution and service.   Enjoy the pics.

"Red Bull" Jump Team

Vol 7(cont'd)  This subsection features the Red Bull jump team.   As a commercially sponsored team, these guys appear at a wider variety of events than our military teams.  I was busy taking video so only a few pics.  These guys did high speed landings, zooming past me within a few feet, right and left, with shroud strings zooming withing inches as I froze in space.  Otherwise, it would have been a 50 mph collision.  This team is composed of former Airborne as well as world winning competition jumpers.  As  stated, not as easy to find.  So if they are your event, make it a point to run to the ropes and watch these guys do their thing.  It doesn't get much better.   And that's NO BULL.

Other Jump Teams

Vol 7 (cont'd)  This grouping features all other jump teams.   Small to mid-sized airshows and events can't always book the more popular teams due to scheduling conflicts or event budget limitations.  So very often, venues call on other jump teams to open their events with Flag, game ball and smoke jumps.   Teams such as the precision USN Leap Frogs, commercial and local skydiving club teams step up to fill the void.  I wish I had content to give the Leap Frogs their own volume.  But in the lack thereof, I will focus on the others, who are always eager to do the job and show their stuff.  I am embarrassed that I did not register who these pics are of, but whoever they are, they did a beautiful job.
